We met in Detroit — thanks to a mutual dance friend and a weekend that was supposed to be just about dancing.Jerry was in town for an event and spent most of the weekend doing two things extremely well: dancing… and talking about dancing. A lot. So much, in fact, that Devin was convinced he wasn’t interested at all.Plot twist: he was.As the weekend wrapped up and everyone headed home, Jerry asked Devin out on a date — and from that moment on, we’ve talked every single day since. Long distance didn’t scare us (even though it probably should have). Somehow, being on opposite sides of the country only made us feel closer.Our relationship quickly became a mix of late-night conversations, constant laughter, and learning how to really listen — not just to respond, but to understand. We traveled back and forth, crossed time zones, and eventually decided to stop counting miles and start choosing each other.At one point, that choice led us to spend a summer living together in a new country — which taught us that love grows strongest when you’re slightly out of your comfort zone… and very much in it at the same time.Somewhere between all the movement, laughter, creativity, and love, we built a life — and welcomed our greatest adventure yet: our son, Ocean.We dance through life together — sometimes literally. Jerry brings the passion and creativity. Devin brings the wit (which Jerry insists is hilarious). Together, we bring balance, joy, and a whole lot of love.Our story isn’t about perfection.It’s about rhythm.About choosing each other every day.About finding home in the middle of the motion.And now, here we are — ready to celebrate with the people we love most.

We invite our guests to dress in cocktail attire for a beautiful late summer celebration in Detroit. Think polished, festive, and comfortable for an evening of good food, great music, and plenty of dancing.Our wedding colors are inspired by warm, romantic tones — deep navy, burnt copper/rust, and rich neutrals. If you’d like to coordinate with our palette, these colors will fit beautifully, but there’s no need to match exactly.We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream, as those colors will be reserved for the bride.Most importantly, choose something that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and ready to celebrate with us.

Dress Code

This Detroit hotel is located in the Greektown District, next to the Greektown Casino. The all-suite hotel offers free WiFi, free area shuttle service and an on-site restaurant &amp; bar.
