We can't wait to celebrate with you! 🤍 Please review the details below so you can arrive, get settled, and enjoy the evening with us.
Saturday, August 29, 2026
Dossin Great Lakes Museum | Belle Isle, Detroit
Ceremony begins promptly at 6:00 PM
Arrival
Our ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM sharp, so please plan to arrive early to allow plenty of time to enter Belle Isle, park, and find your seat.
Belle Isle can be especially busy on summer weekends, so please factor potential traffic and island entry time into your plans. We don't want you to miss the good part! 🤍
Ceremony
Our ceremony will take place outdoors on the front lawn of the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, overlooking the water.
Dress Code: Cocktail / Summer Wedding
Think polished, comfortable and celebration-ready for a late-summer evening in Detroit. Please remember that the ceremony is outdoors when selecting shoes and attire.
Belle Isle Entry
Belle Isle is a Michigan State Park and a Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the island.
Michigan-registered vehicles with a valid Recreation Passport are already covered. For out-of-state vehicles, a daily Recreation Passport is available for purchase at the park.
Guests: Please check back here before the wedding for any Dunham Wedding-specific entry instructions.
Parking
There is parking adjacent to the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, as well as designated parking areas nearby. Once you're parked, everything is in one place — no driving between the ceremony and reception!
Social Hour + Reception
Immediately following the ceremony, we'll move inside the Dossin Great Lakes Museum for social hour and the reception — just steps away from the ceremony.
So once you arrive, park that car and come celebrate with us! 🥂
A Note About Belle Isle Hours
Belle Isle's regular visitor hours are 8:00 AM–10:00 PM. Please be mindful of the park's entry restrictions later in the evening. Our celebration will continue inside Dossin, and guests will be able to depart the island after the reception.
For the most current information regarding Belle Isle access, traffic, closures, Recreation Passports and park policies, please visit the Michigan DNR's official Belle Isle website.
We recommend checking the park website before heading out on Saturday in case there are any day-of traffic or access updates.
We can't wait to celebrate our Fate in Motion with you. 🤍
